Here is an interesting post from folks up in Middlebury, VT.
I’d consider throwing orange flies. Frenchies with orange hot spots, orange Pheasant Tails and orange Mops. Throw a size 12 Elk Hair Caddis with orange bodies.
Just my two cents.

While on the Swift last evening I saw an orange fly buzz past my head, and thought it must be too late for sulfurs. Perhaps it was an orange caddis. Great idea to tie a few elk hair caddis up with orange bodies in #12 as the insect I saw was not small by a long shot.
Glad you got a chance to get out! Orange flies did zip for me at the Farmington on Labor Day (just posted about it). Still, it was a great day to be outside and enjoy a holiday Monday.
