New England is great for fly fishing.

In January, I buy fishing licenses for Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. Honestly, it is by far the most effective and cheap sources of recreation for me.

Note that there is so much great water, that this blog cannot cover it all. So, I’m hoping more people write guest posts. And note that all the states publish stocking reports. Here is one from New Hampshire. There’s quite a bit of trout water very close to you, I suspect.

In NH, the headwaters of the Connecticut River are legendary. And, close to MA, I’ve heard great things about the Sugar River.
