Van Life in Montana
Here is a long video. But, some very amazing scenery and beautiful fish. I have a love affair with Montana. Have fished it twice. Amazing mountains and wild fish everywhere. I have a recurring day dream. One day I will retire and fish out there every day for a month.
The Farmington Survivor Strain Program
One of the reasons the flows have been cut is that CT DEEP today is collecting larger fish for the Farmington Survivor Strain program. The goal is to take the big holdovers, which have proven to be adaptive, back to the hatchery to collect their DNA (more here). They then are returned to the river.
