TROUTBITTEN and the F3T

Hey all, I apologize for the lack of posts lately from myself. It’s been a crazy month or so, but I’m ready to get back on track and have  bunch of posts ready to go!

But first, I wanted to share a website that, in my opinion, has some of the best fly fishing articles out there. Everything from streamers to euro nymphing, there is a lot of great content there and I think a lot can be learned through reading some of Domenick’s old posts.

My favorite posts on that site all pertain to Euro-nymphing, which is a deadly nymphing technique that Jo has written about for years. It is, without a doubt, the best technique on the whole for catching numbers of fish, and often size as well, yet is a tough concept to explain, and I think Domenick nails it. Also, even if you’re experienced, there’s still a lot to learn. These days, when I Euro-nymph, the backing barrel my most used and favorite sighter by far.

Anyhow, check them out at their website, Facebook, or Instagram.

Now, a couple more things. The F3T fly fishing film fest is being shown in Boston on March 27. This is always a really great event and I’d highly recommend attending. I plan on making the drive to see it, and will post more details on where it is and where to get tickets when I find out. The 2017 combined trailer is below, and individual trailers for the film can be found on F3T’s website.

  1. Hey Noel, great post. I’ll be at F3T in Boston next Monday as well. Hit me up if you want to get a beer or something beforehand (or after)!

    1. Awesome, I’ll shoot you a message a little closer to the event. I’m still trying to get out of a work event because this is one of my favorite events of the year (looking good right now) so I’ll let you know.

  2. Some very interesting ideas on this Blog to try this year! Wish I could use this system up in Maine in “FF only waters’, but I think it will be very useful locally.
