Brown trout are truly amazing. I’ve been focused on them the past month.
I like all trout, but, for some reason, a glimpse of a brown as I pull in line gets me really excited. Maybe it is because they’re supposedly more finicky. Maybe it’s because they’re amazing looking.
Here’s are some that took a nymph on a day when stoneflies were flying around everywhere.
This one had amazing red spots.
And, here’s one with a butter-yellow chin and some really huge dark spots.
With freestones warming up early this year, it’s a great time to get out on some local water.
