Free Fly Fishing Lessons at Orvis Dedham

It’s nearly spring, and it’s a great time to learn how to fly fish. Whether you’re new or want to introduce the activity to a child or Significant Other, I just heard about a good deal.

The good folks at Orvis Dedham are offering some fly fishing lessons. “Fly Fishing 101” is free. “Fly Fishing 201” might have a small fee, which they’re still contemplating.

Both classes also will offer a free Trout Unlimited membership, normally $35, and some in-store discounts.

Fly Fishing 101
Learn fly-fishing basics in one of our free Fly Fishing 101 classes. Perfect for beginners of all ages, the Fly Fishing 101 course includes free lessons on fly casting and outfit rigging.

April: 23rd, 30th
May: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
June: 4th, 11th, 18th

Fly Fishing 201
If you’ve already completed Fly Fishing 101, you’re ready for the next step. Join us for a short outing on local water and a chance to catch your first fish! A nominal fee for the outing may apply.

May: 1st, 15th
June: 5th

A free Trout Unlimited Membership—a $35 value—is included for all FF101 and FF201 graduates. Upon completion of the course, you will receive special in-store offers, valid for the purchase of Orvis products.
