Tom Fuller’s Trout Streams of Southern New England is a gem. I’ve read it closely quite a few times. And, I often go back to it.
He has very detailed descriptions of various trout waters. It’s where I first read about the Quinapoxet, Squannacook, Nissitissit, Westfield, Swift and other bodies of water. He gives tips, suggests spots, and points out where to park.
The book does a great job of offering both breadth and depth. I highly recommend it if you want to fish more close to home or expand your horizons.
