I hope everyone is having a good January. I have just a few things to report:
Fly Fishing show in Marlborough. I’ve never been, and, if the Saturday snowstorm permits, I will be there. I’m looking forward to hearing some of the speakers and have signed up for Ed Engle’s nymphing class. More details here.
Orvis Dedham is closing. I hear from someone there that the company had problems renewing its lease. Last day will be mid-February. There were some great folks at that site, and so, I hope to see them at another location or continue to see them on the water.
Enjoy Saturday’s football game. Cannot believe the Patriots have been in the AFC Championship five years in a row. Should be a fun game to watch.

I've read Ed's Tying Small Flies and agree that its a great read. I saw him speak at a previous show and really enjoyed his presentation. I'm sure you'll get a lot out of the nymphing class. I'm hoping to attend the show on Saturday also..

Let's hope the worst of the storm stays south of us!
that stinks about Orvis in Dedham as I live close, but you still have Natick Outdoors which has a great flytying dept. and you also have the one and only Bears Den in Taunton.
I am hoping to attend the show Saturday myself, and I agree Ed's books are great and a must read for midge guys.

Great point about other stores. Have never been to the Natick and Taunton ones and will have to check 'em out. Thank you for the heads-up.
Also, Ed Engle's Saturday 8.30 am class has been expanded. It was listed as sold out last week and now is not. So, I'm assuming they gave him a bigger room. I'm pumped.
