Fishing Jig Streamers in Winter

Tightlining is definitely its own thing. It requires special rods, unique leaders, and a completely new type of casting and drifting.

And, Euro-style jig streamers have been a “big deal” on our local waters for the past few years. Some of my biggest fish have come on them.

But, how to fish jig streamers with “regular” fly gear? Below, is a fantastic video from Charlie’s Fly Box on how to do so with a regular 9′ 5-wt. set-up. I learned a lot watching it, and I hope it is helpful to you.
