If you were to read many of my recent posts, you would be remiss to think there is only one Trout Unlimited Chapter in the state of MA, let alone one TU chapter doing awesome work.
Well, that just isn’t true. Depending on where you call home in New England, I am sure there isn’t one far from you.
If you happen to be in the Greater Boston area on April 24th, great. If you aren’t, check your calendar and change your plans to be there. The Greater Boston Trout Unlimited Chapter is having their annual fundraiser, “Trout on The Town“.
They will be honoring Neponset River Watershed Association Executive Director Ian Cooke and raising funds for cold-water conservation. Oh, and just two more tidbits, they will be giving away over $10K worth of gear in raffles, silent auctions, and live auctions.
And the second tidbit? Chris Wood, the CEO of TU National will be speaking on TU’s mission of cold-water conservation. Doors open at 5 PM and a silent auction and dinner precede the awards and guest speakers.

Time: 5:00 PM to 8:30-ish PM
Date: April 24, 2019
Place: Summer Shack, 149 Alewife Brook Pkwy., Cambridge, MA
Whether you like big ol’ bows, fat browns or just colorful lil’ brookies, hope to see you there!
P.S.: I am getting antsy as I haven’t had much time on the water between school and family and commitments. I got a buddy driving in from MD as we speak, specifically to take me away from the humdrum and get on the river. Fingers crossed, next post will be me, my friend, and some tight lines.
Let us know how you are faring with stocking season under way!
