Blog colleague and MassWildlife Cold Fisheries Project Leader, Adam Kautza, will be speaking at a GBTU meeting.
Here is a description:
From his unique perspective as a cold water biologist, Adam will discuss cold water fisheries issues in Massachusetts. He will give an overview of the coldwater fishery resources (CFRs) in Massachusetts and start with the definition of CFRs and what additional protections they are afforded. From there, Adam will speak about MA wild trout resources, their distribution, and what is known about them, their population and characteristics. The presentation will conclude with highlights of his 2017 sampling, projects currently underway, and future directions the division would like to take with wild trout management.
