Great video. Some good lessons here on fighting big fish; stay downstream if possible and keep side pressure. Whether or not he considered it ahead of time, he was equipped to move when the fight dictated. Sometimes you need to have a plan ahead of time.
How you set up your kit is important too. Notice he had to draw his net and stow it several times. You don’t want to fumble with your net when you should be focusing on the fish.
Great observations, Damon. Side pressure and staying below the fish are key. We all should banish from our minds that Orvis logo, where the angler has the rod tip super-high!
