We’ve had very healthy precipitation the past few weeks. More is underway. Here’s a screen-shot of how much rain is due to hit the country over the next two weeks.
If the models are right, this bodes well for our summertime fishing. Hopefully, reservoirs and aquifers will refill so that streams will have decent flows through the dog days of August.
Let’s hope so!

The more the better at this point. It sort of sucks for early spring stream fishing but we are still in a long-term precipitation deficit and need all the rain we can get!
