Blood knots reputedly are very strong. And, I find them a pain to tie.
People who make handmade leaders or do a great deal of tightline nymphing often are joining various pieces of leaders and tippets. That’s all fine in the comfort of your home. It’s different if you’re out on the water and there’s wind.
So, I’ve been looking for a better way to tie a blood knot. I think I’ve found one. Here’s a cool video on an easy way to tie a modified one. Hope it helps.
