I’m fishing the Swift a 1/2 day on Saturday, and so, am tying tonight some nymphs and dries in sizes 22 down to 26. I really enjoy these moments to focus fully on making some small flies.

I’m making a bunch of flies that folks say work well at other tailwaters.

I make the assumption that trout are pretty much the same all over the world, and it’s their living conditions that make them either more selective or not. So, I’ve done a bit of research on the Internet to see what flies work at other tailwaters. Thus far, those flies have worked very well on the Swift.

So, I encourage you to research flies that work well at rivers such as the South Platte, San Juan, Frying Pan, Green, Big Horn, etc. Why re-create the wheel?
